25th - 27th June - Introduction

Nestled within the Pennine Range of the Yorkshire Dales National Park lie the iconic three peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. Your challenge is to summit all three peaks in 12 hours, so that  The Steve Prescott Foundation can continue supporting  The Christie, The Rugby League Benevolent Fund & SPF Special Causes Fund as well as continuing the great man Steve Prescott’s legacy.

The late Captain Sir Tom Moore is a source of inspiration for the organisers of the GPW Recruitment St Helens 10K Virtual Weekend on 6 & 7 March 2021. His famous quote “Tomorrow will be a good day” as shown on the event T-shirt will hopefully motivate participants as they run 10K, possibly including the steep North Road as part of their route.

Also included is a state of the art app from TDL Event Services with a range of interactive features that tracks the individual runner and provides them with useful information about their virtual 10K. Friends and family follow their progress using this app and compare the finish times displayed on the leaderboard.

Leading cancer hospital The Christie has praised the Steve Prescott Foundation for its work in enabling “huge progress” in cancer research.

The renowned centre in Manchester believes that funds and awareness raised by the charity has improved its understanding of cancer patients “beyond belief” and could lead to the availability of different treatments in under five years.

The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, will give a blessing to all runners before the start of the 9th annual 10K race at St Helen’s Rugby Football Club on Sunday 10th March at 9am.

He retained a keen interest in sport and Saints in particular.

Wilf and his wife Elsie had recently celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary and were neighbours of Steve and Linzi Prescott.
