This has been possible only due to the unrelenting efforts made by Stephen. He carved a path where there was none. Whose will to live was so strong that it guided us to transcend the current limits of our understanding and knowledge to an imagined result of a journey in creating something new.
An act that was singular in its creation but achieved a result on a cosmic scale for patients suffering from this inexorable disease.
Unfortunately, Stephen did not personally benefit from this journey, but has undoubtedly lit the path for many more to come.

He wasn’t just the first patient, he was the catalyst.

He made it happen.

He was a man who didn’t take no for an answer in the best sense of it. That’s been a tremendous inspiration for us, for other patients and an inspiration and example for Dr’s who look after patients with this condition.

We are now looking at what we think is a really viable treatment for patients for whom there was previously no good option.

Steve was an amazing man in so many ways.
