Huddersfield Giants fan Eddie Hirst, a Yorkshire man who has lived in St Helens for about 14 years has set himself a number of challenges for 2016.
Eddie is married to Lisa and has two children. He is a big RL fan and remains loyal to the Giants even though all his family are big Saints fans!!
Eddie says, 'I have recently got into running and triathlon and have lost a fair bit of beef :) I am a proud member of the St Helen Tri Club as a result!
I am doing a number of events this year including the following: St Helens 10k, Jolly Holly 'jog' - off road 10k, Wythenshawe Cross Country race (10K), Grindleford Gallop a 21 Mile off road trail race, Edge Hill Triathlon, Virgin Money London Marathon - representing St Helens Tri club, The Southport Triathlon, Ironman UK (Bolton), The Snowdon Marathon
Plus some other unconfirmed events. Because it will be such a big effort, I am keen maximise the events and raise some money for two charities close to my heart: The Steve Prescott Foundation and the children's charity Theirworld.
