On the 10th September 2017, the Steve Prescott Foundation (SPF) will host the Handepay St Helens Triathlon. The inaugural triathlon was held in 2015 when the SPF finally made Steve Prescott’s dream for a Triathlon in St Helens become a reality.

Rainford Labour Club organised a fund raising in aid of the Steve Prescott Foundation in memory of John Fairclough who was a retired customs & excise officer based at Manchester Airport and a former chairman of Rainford Labour Club. He was also Saints season ticket holder for many years. John was a well liked man who did so much for the community. John very sadly passed away after a short illness of lung disease on 22nd Feb 2015, age 61. John is survived by his daughter Becky, brothers Brian, Mark and Simon and sister Joan.
One of the event organisers Jeanie Rosbotham was successful in securing £1000 worth in matched funding by from Barclays Bank.

Newton Cricket Club presented a £750 to the SPF at the recent GPW Recruitment St Helens 10k Run.
Ian Walkden who organises the Newton CC annual dinner each November said, ''The money was initially raised at the Club's Annual Dinner which was attended by 180 people and we already have a date in our diary for 2016.''

The Steve Prescott Foundation is delighted to form a partnership with Endurance Sports headed up by director Mike James in the inaugural St Helens Rhino Gladiator event this summer.
A team of Rugby League legends will be taking on the public of St Helens in an exciting new mud run event. Paul Sculthorpe MBE, former Wigan star Wayne Godwin, retired Salford Red Devils and Warrington captain Adrian Morley, former Leeds Rhino prop Ewan Dowes and former Great Britain internationals Garreth Carvell and Keith Senior are just a few of the stars confirmed to get down and dirty as part of the event on 13th and 14th August 2016 at Shoots Delph Farm, Moss Bank.

John was a retired customs and excise officer and Chairman of Rainford Labour Club.
He was an avid Saints fan, season ticket holder and admired Steve Prescott on and especially off the field.
It was John's wish to support the SPF and £500 was raised at his funeral.
The SPF would like to thank all family and friends who donated and we look forward to working alongside the family and Rainford Labour Club in keeping John's memory alive.

NCC staff present The Steve Prescott Foundation with the cheque.
Inspired by the legacy of Steve Prescott, local distance learning provider NCC Home Learning rallied for his cause.
Their staff took on everything from a 30 mile charity cycle, to a sport themed fun day, helping to raise over £1000 for the Foundation.
And success for Steve ended on a sweet note as NCC staff presented us with the cash at the glitzy afternoon with boxing icons Sugar Ray Leonard and Martin Murray at Sutton Leisure centre.

St Ann's Church of England Primary School in Rainhill, have a STAR Day once a year to raise money for a charity. This year they picked the Steve Prescott Foundation to be their chosen charity. Throughout the day, the staff and pupils did lots of different things to raise money.

At The Impressive Berrington Hall 27th March
On Thursday 27th March Berrington Hall Rainford are staging a Sportsmans Dinner with all funds going to the Steve Prescott Foundation.
Hosted by Karl Kirkpatrick the Evening with have Britains Got Talent Comedian Leslie Gibson and the legend that is Alex Murphy OBE.
Plus SPF Ambassadors & Special Guests from the Askvas Walk for Precky will also be present.
You will receive a Three Course Sumptious Meal plus Coffee & Mints all for 30 pound per person.

Lifelong Hull FC fan Clive Reuben passed away on 3rd February aged 67. Due to Clive's admiration of Steve's strength during illness, his charity work and also being a fantastic full back for Hull FC, his family have decided to ask for donations to the Steve Prescott foundation. Clive would have been very proud in doing this.
They raised a phenomenal £810 and his son Danny presented the cheque to Martin Blondel (SPF) and SPF ambassadors Mark Halsey & Lee Briers.
Martin Blondel said "We would like to thank the Reuben family for thinking of the SPF at this sad time. It is incredible the amount of many that was raised, it just shows how well thought of Clive & Steve are in the Hull Community!"
