St Ann's Church of England Primary School in Rainhill, have a STAR Day once a year to raise money for a charity. This year they picked the Steve Prescott Foundation to be their chosen charity. Throughout the day, the staff and pupils did lots of different things to raise money.
Events the children took part in were:
Year 1 and Foundation Stage - A sponsored walk around the school Year 2 - Sponsored walk around the village
Year 3 - Zumbathon and Car Simulator
Year 4 - Hockey tournament
Year 5 - went for a trek to Sherdley Park in poor weather conditions but they succeeded!
Year 6 - Rugby PJ Relay
And a raffle!
They had a very busy day indeed! In the afternoon, they had two special visitors. A certain Panther, who is the one and only Prekky The Panther and the loveable cuddly Boots from St Helens RLFC.
St Ann's Church of England Primary School raised an OUTSTANDING £2,000 for the foundation and were all getting active in the process.
