Neil Tucker from St Helens is a Hodgkins lymphoma cancer survivor who is going the extra mile to raise awareness and funds for the SPF. He has arranged a shave day where he will have a shave of his full face and waxing of his body at Langtree Park, St Helens on 8th June at 2 pm.
Neil, 38 who is a regular fund charity raiser says. “I’m looking forward to losing my hair for a fantastic charity and good friend. It will be me having my hair, eyebrows and beard shaved off down to the skin and also my chest, back and legs waxed all off. I'm asking for any donation to this fantastic cause which is close to my heart and I'm sure many others. Stephen was there for me when I was diagnosed with cancer and helped me through. So it’s my time to pay him back and say a big thank you.”
Last year Neil arranged a successful coffee morning at Langtree Park raising over £400 for the MacMillan Cancer Support and the SPF.
The SPF is really grateful to Neil for his fantastic support. He has battled lymphoma with immense courage for 6 years and is always thinking of fund raising for others. We wish him every success with his latest charity challenge. Thank you also to Karen Caddock and St Helens RFC for their support in providing an executive box for the challenge and to ex Saints star Anthony Stewart for arranging the waxing.
