The bike ride trilogy of Wigan Vets continues...

Saturday the 5th of July Wigan Vets will once again be riding for the for the Steve Prescott Foundation

This will start off from the Golden Lion at Higher Wheelton with an 11am meet up.

Organiser Malcolm Holland said "This will be a particular poignant ride as it will be the first one since Steve’s untimely death and he always used to pop along on our ride to lend his support to a great cause.
I hope that as many of you, along with his friends and colleagues will turn up on the day for the ride in his honour. See you there – cant wait!!!!"

Information

Meeting point: The Golden Lion at Higher Wheelton, PR6 8HP

(If biking there come off at bridge No 86 on the canal (4 bridges past the Top Lock Pub) cross canal and its 200 yards up lane. By road it’s on the main A574 Blackburn Road, between Chorley and Blackburn)

Full Breakfast/bacon barms served here at 11am!

Note: If don’t have the energy to bike there and back bring your bike to the Brocket in Wigan at 10-10.15 on the morning and transport will be available for your bike BUT you must sort YOUR own lift out to the Golden Lion

Distance: about 16 miles (but at least most of it is flat, very scenic and off road)

Donation/sponsorship: £10 per rider – all proceeds to the Precky charity: if over and above this you want to raise individual sponsorship you are free to do so and a sponsor form is available

Finishing point: Sams Bar Scholes for buffet & music - (bikes can be left here overnight)
