Tommy Makinson Testimonial 2021 v The Steve Prescott Foundation

LEGENDS GAME and St Helens' Independents Christmas Market

SUNDAY 5th Dec - Ruskin St.Helens

On the 5th December three organisations will join together to provide a family festive fun day for all of St Helens Borough to  enjoy and raise a glass of mulled wine or two!

Ruskin will once again be the perfect host following on from last year’s Lockdown Christmas Market.  There will be market stalls inside and outside and also a Santa’s Grotto and festive fun for all the family.

The Steve Prescott Foundation (SPF) have challenged St Helens RFC legendary winger Tommy Makinson to host an ex-players rugby league match raising vital funds for the SPF and Tommy Makinson's well deserved Testimonial Year.

Ste Palfrey, Operations Director at Ruskin said “We are really forward to putting on a family filled fun day along with our great friends the SPF and Tommy Makinson Testimonial.

Last year even though the odds were against us, it was great to see a fantastic turnout and the traders who attended made an impressive turnover! It is so important that in extreme times like this we are together and support each other!”

Martin Blondel on behalf of the SPF said “It has been a long time since we staged a Legends game! Who can forget the amazing game we staged for the Steve Prescott Fund way back in 2007. That game was the catalyst for many games to follow! It is a privilege to work alongside Ruskin and Tommy Makinson Testimonial. We have two fantastic teams amassed with Rugby League Legends of the highest order and I am sure it is going to be highly competitive!
