Congratulations to Roger Bennett from Hull who managed to complete the Great North Run 13.1 miles in 2hr 15mins.

He has raised £300 for the Steve Prescott Foundation in the process. Roger was a neighbour of Steve and Linzi Prescott in Hull and chose the SPF as Roger was inspired by what Steve did even after his illness took hold.

Roger said of his experience. 'I have now well and truly got the running bug and intend to do some more events prior to the Great North Run next year so hopefully I can raise some more money for the SPF along the way. I hope I have helped the foundation help some others'.
