Bradford Bulls fans Ben Moorhouse and Gaynor Thompson created history on the Greek island of Rhodes for The Steve Prescott Foundation by walking from Mandraki to Prasonisi a total of 67 miles in 3 days. They smashed the extreme challenge walk in temperatures  of 40C- 50C by pushing on despite the incredible heat.

Ben and Gaynor were inspired to organise their challenge after reading Steve Prescott's autobiography 'One in a Million'. Ben says ' The Steve Prescott Foundation is very close to our hearts. As Rugby League fanatics we always highly rated Steve as a player, but it is Steve's story from the moment he was given the news he had Pseudomyxoma Peritonei - a terminal cancer, that really inspired us in all walks of life.In simple terms we smashed the challenge shocking everybody on the island - nobody expected us to to it in such fast times.

From the moment we arrived on in Rhodes everybody doubted us - some said we would not even complete stage 1. For two full days we walked with severe blisters but became oblivious to them fully focused on the challenge that faced us ... using Steves words " what the mind believes the body achieves ". Right through the challenge we looked through the eyes of Steve and excelled in every area possible.'

This year Gaynor has personally made some big changes . Through lots of training in the gym and making changes to the food and drink she has lost 7 Stone in weight in 12 months without the help of a personal trainer. This is another reason why Gaynor came up with the challenge to give herself the opportunity to put her new body through a totally new challenge.

Ben and Gaynor were honoured by the Major in Rhodes to acknowledge their success and raising the awareness of the beautiful island in the process.
