Tom was a great Saints supporter and season ticket holder for over 50 years. Half a dozen Saints players made his day by sending him birthday video messages for his 94th birthday in October.
He followed Steve Prescott's story closely, and would be extremely happy that the donations made in his name were going to the Foundation.
He was fit, healthy and amazingly active up until his diagnosis of terminal stomach cancer in July 2025. He was well known throughout St Helens for his footballing history, and his involvement with the building of many of the churches, schools and public buildings across the Borough.
He will be missed but always remembered for his wonderful sense of humour, his kindness and his love of life.
