The Steve Prescott Foundation is delighted to announce the SPF Golf Day, taking place at The Oaks Golf Course, Aughton, York, on Wednesday 5th May, as part of the Foundation’s special 20th Anniversary celebrations.

The event is being organised by great SPF supporter Martyn Shaw, who has once again stepped forward to support the Foundation and help raise vital funds while continuing the incredible legacy of Steve Prescott MBE.

Everyone at the SPF would like to place on record their sincere thanks to Martyn for staging what promises to be a fantastic day.

The Foundation is particularly excited to be heading over the Pennines into familiar SPF country, an area that will always have a very special connection with Steve and the Foundation.

Steve was adored during his time with the Ole Faithful at Hull FC, where his courage, commitment and wholehearted performances made him a huge favourite with the Black & White supporters. The friendships Steve made and the affection shown towards him and his family have continued long after his playing career.

Over the years, the SPF has also received tremendous support from across Humberside and the wider Rugby League family, making it particularly fitting that an event celebrating 20 years of the Steve Prescott Foundation should be staged over the Pennines.

We also hope to see some of Steve’s former teammates taking part in the Golf Day, joining supporters and friends of the Foundation to remember the great man and celebrate the incredible legacy he created.

A Fantastic Day of Golf & Rugby League

Entry is £280 for a four-ball, with the day including:

* Bacon roll and coffee on arrival
* Golf at The Oaks Golf Course
* Two-course meal and presentation
* After-dinner entertainment with Rugby League legends
* Prizes, raffle and auction

A number of exciting sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses wishing to support the event and the Steve Prescott Foundation.

Naming Rights of the Golf Day – £750
Includes a full-page advert in the event programme, sponsorship of the 1st Hole and the opportunity to make a presentation to the winner.

Hole in One Sponsor – £500
The successful golfer will receive an incredible £5,000 prize. Sponsorship includes a half-page programme advert, branding on the Hole in One hole and presentation to the lucky winner.

Longest Drive Sponsor – £300
Includes a half-page advert in the programme, sponsorship of the Longest Drive hole and presentation to the winner.

Nearest the Pin Sponsor – £300
Includes a half-page advert in the programme, sponsorship of the Nearest the Pin hole and presentation to the winner.

Hole Sponsorship – £100
There are 14 hole sponsorships available, giving businesses the opportunity to support the event and have their company logo proudly displayed on the tee.

The SPF is looking forward to heading over the Pennines to familiar SPF country and welcoming golfers, sponsors, supporters, Rugby League legends and hopefully some of the great man’s former teammates for what promises to be another memorable occasion during the Foundation’s landmark anniversary year.
