Reason to “Kill the Hill”: Climbing Kilimanjaro last year to raise money for the SPF was one of the best experiences of my life to date. Knowing that the money I raised was going to such a great cause and challenging myself like never before, was immensely rewarding. So when the opportunity came up for an Everest Basecamp trek I knew I had to do it.

What are you most looking forward to: The views whilst trekking through the Himalayas. Making it to Base Camp and then actually seeing Mount Everest up close and personal. Also meeting new friends and having a laugh with the team.

What are you least looking forward to: Sub-zero temperatures, potential altitude sickness and being gutted because I can’t go to the top of Everest.

Interesting/Amusing fact about you: On a lad’s trip to Benidorm a couple of years ago, due to being mildly inebriated, I picked up the wrong case from baggage reclaim at Alicante airport. After arriving at the hotel, it became apparent I had the wrong case because I didn’t play backgammon or wear Y fronts and had to get a return taxi back to the Alicante from the hotel to exchange cases.
