Adrian Morley

"Moz" Played rugby league for Leeds, Sydney Roosters, Bradford, Warrington, Salford, England & Great Britain. With over 500 games under his belt, Adrian is one of rugby league's greats. As a proud ambassador of the SPF, Adrian was part of the 38 strong team, that climbed Mt Kilimanjaro and set a NEW World record for "The highest game of rugby league" ever player.

Jimmy Gittins

"I met a man that as he was staring down the barrel of a loaded gun, he took time to show me direction in life when facing adversity! His selflessness in order to help others and his ability to always lead from the front will stay with me forever. He showed me most importantly the true meaning of NEVER GIVE UP ! He didn't ! And he got his wish and proved everybody wrong, hence why he truly was 1 in a Million ! Steve Prescott thank you x"

Paul Sculthorpe

Ex Warrington, St Helens RFC, England & Great Britain utility player. Twice Super League's Man of Steel. Multi decorated player during his career including the MBE. RFL ambassador and coach. Took part in Carnegie Challenge 2009, Engage Mutual Paris to London Marathon Challenge, Quadrathon Race to the Grand Final. Marathon des Sables.

Andy Gregory

Former Wigan, Leeds, Widnes, Warrington and Salford and Great Britain half back. Twice Lance Todd Trophy winner.  Winner of 5 Challenge Cup medals and World Club Challenge winner while at Wigan amongst many other awards.Represented SPF at Wath Brow & Millom ARLFC.

Johnny Vegas

TV Comedian Johnny Vegas has been a supporter of The Steve Prescott Foundation since day one. In 2009 he joined the Carnegie Challenge team on the River Thames of the dragon boat section of the challenge. Recently he organised the hugely popular Bartons Pickles Celeb Bowls event in the name of his father Lol Pennington Memorial Bowls Challenge with monies raised going to the SPF.

Paul Wellens

Mr St Helens. Winner of Pride of St Helens award 2015.  Popular Great Britain and England international fullback, he played his entire career with St Helens, with whom he won several Super League championships and Challenge Cup titles.  Paul is a great ambassador for not only the SPF but Rugby League in general. Regular supporter of SPF events including the Lol Pennington Memorial Trophy Bowls event.

Andy Reid

St Helens born Andy Reid lost three of his limbs serving for his country in the Helmand province. During his rehabilitation Steve & Andy struck up a great friendship and inspired each other to overcome adversity.

John Wilkin

Ex Hull KR and St Helens captain, GB and England International forward, currently at Toronto Wolfpack.  Regular TV Rugby league pundit   During his testimonial year at Saints the SPF was his nominated charity.

Peter Reid

Legendary Footballer & Manager and now TV Pundit, most successful at playing for Everton. Cousin to Steve’s great friend Nicky Reid.

Barrie McDermott

Ex Wigan, Leeds Ireland and Great Britain blockbusting forward. Now Sky Sports TV Pundit. Ran the 2014 Virgin London Marathon for the SPF. Popular runner in the St Helens 10k run. Conquered Mt Kilimanjaro in 2015 and took part on the Guinness World Record highest game of rugby league. Completed the Everest Base camp Challenge 2016. Taking part in the Grand Canyon Challenge 2019.

Lee Briers

Mercurial Warrington half back retired from Warrington Wolves in 2013 as the club record points scorer. LanceTodd trophy winner and  winner of 3 Challenge Cup Finals. Born in the same area as Steve and completed the Walk for Precky Lands End to John O’Groats challenge in 2014. A member of the team who conquered Mt Kilimanjaro and played the World Record Highest game of rugby league in 2015. Everest Base camp Challenge 2016. Taking part in the Grand Canyon Challenge 2019.

Shaun Briscoe

Ex Hull FC, Hull KR, Widnes and Wigan full back and England International. Took part in the “inaugural” Walk Against Cancer and also the 2014 Virgin London Marathon.

Chris Joynt

Retired Great Britain international and St Helens rugby league forward . Captain of arguably the best Saints team in the club's history.  Took part in the Carnegie Challenge 2009, Quadrathon Race to the Grand Final. Has signed up for Challenge Wembley 2019 to replicate the 2009 challenge.

 

Lee Radford

Current Hull FC coach and former team mate of Steve's. He fought Stuart Fielden in the "original" Rugby League boxing match the Rumble at the Humber, Lee also shown off his body for the naked calendar in 2010.

Steve McNamara

Current coach at Super League club Catalan Dragons, the former England RL coach played with Steve at Hull FC and Wakefield. Currently flying the flag for the SPF in France.

Fraser Dainton

Sky Sports News reporter on rugby league, football,boxing and cricket. Regular MC of the annual Pride of St Helens Awards and great supporter of the SPF.

Mark Halsey

Retired Premier League football and FIFA referee. In 2009 Mark was diagnosed with throat cancer and underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Mark took part in the 900 mile LeJog Walk for Precky challenge in 2014 and regularly supports SPF events.

Terry O'Connor

Retired Wigan, Widnes and Great Britain rugby league forward and now Sky Sports TV Pundit. Ran with Steve in the 2010 London Marathon and also ran the 2014 London Marathon. Tez is a regular runner in the St Helens 10k Run.

Garry Schofield OBE

Ex Hull Leeds Stand Off. Often controversial but the most passionate about RL. Holds the record for the most Great Britain caps. Represented SPF at Wath Brow & Millom ARLFC.

Martin Murray

St Helens born professional boxer who has fought for four World titles during his career.Martin held the WBA interim middleweight title from 2012 to 2014 and held the British and Commonwealth middleweight titles between 2010 and 2012.  Regular runner in the St Helens 10k Run and great supporter of the SPF.

Tommy Martyn

Legendary St Helens and Leigh half back.Lance Todd trophy winner in 1997. Gave his 2006 Challenge Cup winners medal to the Steve Prescott Fund when Steve was first diagnosed with cancer. Took part in the inaugural Walk Against Cancer and completed the 2014 Walk for Precky from Lands End to John O' Groats. Current holder of the Lol Pennington Memorial Bowls Trophy and aims to defend his trophy in 2019.

George Riley

Rugby league and sports broadcaster and Leeds Rhino supporter.  Ran 100 competitive miles for the SPF in 2014. Regular runner in the St Helens 10k but acted as MC for the 10k in 2019 due to injury. Taking part in Challenge Wembley 2019.

Mike Parr

St Helens born actor Michael Parr is known for playing the part of 'bad boy' Ross Barton in the ITV soap Emmerdale. Mike has been an active ambassador taking part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge and the Lol Pennington Memorial Bowls Challenge.
