St Helens RFC, who are associate sponsors of the inaugural St Helens Triathlon will be showing their support by attending the Open Water Swimming Training at Eccleston Mere on Monday 27th July from 1830 till 2000.
James Roby and Paul Sculthorpe, accompanied by Matt Daniels (Conditioner) and Dave Hutchinson (General Manager) will meet some of this year’s participants and get to see at first hand the effort and determination required for this truly challenging event.
Participants are currently training hard for the event on Sunday 13th September. The weekly training sessions are run by Terry Bates of Be Ur Best and Rob Macleod of Vital Events. They give advice on training and draw on their vast experience and expertise to encourage everyone in their preparation.
The St Helens Triathlon was Steve’s Prescott’s last wish and his wish is now becoming a reality.
