MERSEYSIDE'S last big family-owned department store will combine the glamour of fashion and sport in a special one-off Showcase charity show in St Helens.
For the first time Tyrers store and the Steve Prescott Foundation have come together to present the catwalk fashion event at St Helens Town Hall, on Wednesday, 28 October, 2015. BUY TICKETS ONLINE NOW
Circus-style stilt-walkers outside the Town Hall will greet guests on arrival at 7pm, and there will be a glass of welcoming "bubbly" before the show starts - hosted by the BBC's George Riley, who helps represent the charity, and its ambassadors, ex-Saints captain Paul Sculthorpe and boxer Martin Murray who will be among the catwalk models choreographed by Angels Elite.
There will be a prize raffle draw with hundreds of pounds-worth of Tyrers' designer fashion, including handbags, by labels such as Coccinelle, Guess and Modalu and also some amazing menswear prizes including a 3 piece suit by Scott worth £225, a pair of Barker's shoes, Olymp shirts, and a Bugatti winter coat worth up to £300!
Ali Tyrer, Tyrers managing director, said: "It's been a long time since we staged anything like this and I am very proud to support the Steve Prescott Foundation and Steve's widow Linzi.
"Steve was a former St Helens' rugby star who, aged just 39, faced his terminal illness with amazing courage. He helped revolutionary multi-surgical treatment to be developed, which has since benefited many other people and will continue to do so for a long time to come.
"For this very good cause, we will showcase are latest collections in what we're sure will be a highly enjoyable evening of a kind not often seen in St Helens."
The Showcase event is at St Helens Town Hall, on Wednesday, 28 October, at 7-10pm.
