Reason to “Kill the Hill”: I work in the Oxford Transplant Centre and so I know all about Steve Prescott and the enormous challenges he faced and I am a great admirer of the Foundation set up in his name. The SPF is greatly supportive of the Oxford Transplant Centre and the research we do and so the Kilimanjaro challenge seemed like a good way to contribute to this. There is also the small matter of going somewhere and doing something I have never done before at the same time as giving myself a great incentive to get fit!
What are you most looking forward to: Getting to the top in one piece, the amazing views and making new friends in the group
What are you least looking forward to: the lack of proper toilets, the lack of daily shower and hair washing and the next few months of training
