Congratulations to Hull FC supporter Mark Grasby, 44, who completed the RB Hull Marathon which took place on 24th September smashing his £500 target raising a fantastic £740 for the Steve Prescott Foundation.
Mark who is an Operations Director for an education provider took part in the marathon which finished at the KCOM stadium says.’ I love sport and fitness, but hate running. I read Steve Prescott’s book and felt humbled, and felt that I needed to help others and honour Steve.’
Mark’s time of 5:08:21 may not have broken any records but there’s no doubt where his inspiration came from.
‘I did think about Steve on the run and it helped me through. The sprint finish that I mustered (God knows from where) in front of the KCOM West Stand was definitely a bit of Steve’s spirit pushing me on.’
‘I would like to thank my wife Claire for her support and everyone who has sponsored me.
Mark proudly wore the SPF 10 year anniversary vest on his epic run.
Sincere thanks to Mark for choosing the SPF as his nominated charity.
